For some metal processing processes, such as vacuum brazing of aluminum alloy heat exchangers, residual oil may cause rapid accumulation of residual oil under low vacuum and block the vacuum device, or explosion or carbon residue during the brazing process, or slag inclusion in the weld, Seriously affect the normal use of vacuum brazing equipment or product quality. Therefore, thorough and clean degreasing is critical for these types of applications and for product quality.
On the other hand, environment protection, especially low VOC emission is strictly demanded for chemical cleaning process(VOCs <75mg/m3). Vacuum cleaning with narrow boiling range and high surface tension chemical cleaning fluid can guarantee the thorough cleaning and low VOC emission while minimum loss of the cleaning fluid(costs).
Using hydrocarbon as a cleaning solvent, the cleaned parts can only obtain a lower surface tension. However, after using ECOSOL™ 2088, the surface dyne of the parts has been greatly improved. For example, the surface dyne of its aluminum stamping parts can be increased from the original 34-36 to the current 42.
Our ECOSOL 2088 is designed for high performance demand in metal industries, for instance, the cleaning of the aluminium components like fin, extrusion bar, plate for a bar type heat exchanger produced by vacuum brazing process.
In a comparing testing report from MODINE USA LAB, it shows that our solvents with residual oil are 100% evaporated under 120℃. It provides comparable cleaning results when used in vacuum processes. Closed plant systems designed in collaboration with plant manufactures offer users safety for the future. As quality standards become increasingly stringent (e.g. automotive industry) the trend moves very much towards high-performance cleaning. ECOSOL 2088 (based on modified alcohols - alkoxy propanol) is suitable for high demanding cleaning applications such as lapped parts, sintered metals. ECOSOL 2088, used together with state-of-the-art cleaning technology, offer equal or better results compared to other chlorinated solvents.
